NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

WINTER PARK, COLO. — If the word NASTAR evokes images of wobbly
skiers snowplowing around gates in Starter team jackets, you haven’t been
to the NASTAR National Championships. No, the simple gate race accessible to just about everyone at just about every ski area in the United States
takes on a new level once racers who have proven their speed converge on
the championship event. This year, it took place in Winter Park, Colo., from
March 25 to 28.
