Fischer Soma RC4 140
This 98-mm, World Cup-level boot is designed for perfect
fit and optimum power transfer. Soma-Tec guarantees
power, grip and control while the impact protector prevents
any undesired opening of the buckles, says Fischer. It also
features racing canting and an anti-slide system.
Fischer Soma RC4 80
This junior boot features Soma-Tec, FFS Performance Fit,
Racing Canting, Adjustable Spoiler and Micro Hell Plates.
Lange RS 130
Lange is touting this boot as the best-fitting, best-looking, most-balanced boot they
have ever built. Lange designers spent more than a year creating, they say, the
best-fitting shell and liner for the largest number of foot types. The all-new Control
Fit liner features a true lasted liner, anatomical padding, one-piece toe box, instep
pocket, power wedge tongue and saddle-stitched seams.

Nordica Dobermann WC EDT 150
Nordica (see “Big Bark, Big Bite”) calls
this the most technologically advanced ski
boot ever created. Nordica has lowered
the instep volume to keep the fit precise, in
the wake of FIS standheight rules evolving
from 55 mm to 43 mm. Efficient Dynamic
Technology is aimed to solve the prob-
lem of torsional stiffness or lateral flex;
an extruded aluminum foot bed is fixed in
place by four side-mounted bolts. The goal
is to allow racers to use less energy while
transferring more power to the ski.
Nordica JR Dobermann Team 80
This boot, recommended for the J3 racer
(90-120 pounds), has all the features that
has made the Dobermann a World Cup
staple, but is tailored to the junior racer.
