Kiss My, Er, Nothing!
Three-time Olympic medalist Julia Mancuso is accustomed
to having her picture taken while she’s scantily clad to
model her lingerie line, Kiss My Tiara. But she went for the
full monty this fall, posing nude in ESPN’s second annual
Body Issue. Mancuso joined such fellow top athlete exhibitionists as pro surfer Kelly Slater, basketball player Amar’e
Stoudemire, U.S. Soccer’s Tim Howard and the entire U.S.
Women’s Water Polo Team in the issue.
Off the market and in
the gym
Sorry ladies, but U.S. Ski Team alpine
racer TJ Lanning is off the market.
Lanning announced his engagement
to pro beach volleyball player and
model Montana Curtis this summer.
The two have been spending time
between Maui and Park City, Utah.
Though Lanning will spend this season continuing to rehab a dislocated
knee and fractured neck (from an accident at Lake Louise in 2009), he has
been spotted getting strong, healthy
and ready to ski again at the Center of
Excellence throughout the fall.
The Happe Couple
Recently retired, two-time Olympic medal-winning moguls skier Shannon
Bahrke has a new ring to her name. The freestyler tied the knot with her
longtime boyfriend, Matt Happe, in front of family, friends and fellow athletes
at an Oct. 10 (10/10/10), Hawaiian wedding. “I really didn’t think that anything
could top winning a medal at the Olympics and our wedding day was equally
as breathtaking!” she said. “Being in such a beautiful place, with all of the
friends and family we care so much about, and saying ‘I do’ to the man of
my dreams is something I will cherish forever. Now my name is Shannon B.
Happe, so perfect.” The Waxroom couldn’t agree more.
