Sounds Just Like Life in the Waxroom!
In a clear sign that the economy is recovering — at least in Park City — the Canyons Resort is paying
former U.S. Ski Team racer Kaylin Richardson, above, $10,000 a month, and putting her up in a suite at the
new Waldorf Astoria to…blog. Oh yeah, she also has to ski, heli-ski and go to parties with celebrities. Yes,
for those who haven’t heard, Richardson is the co-winner of the Canyons “Ultimate Mountain Gig” contest,
which had nearly 500 starry-eyed ski bums creating videos of how they “mountain.” Richardson shares
the “responsibilities” (but presumably not her suite) with former British soldier and sit-skier Andy Campbell
(shown in the upper right-hand corner). The gig lasts through April of this year, which is a good thing — the
Waxroom wouldn’t want anyone to suffer through such a difficult employment indefinitely.
