WAXROOM
Welcome Home, Warner
When Warner Nickerson went to Europe in December, he bought a one-way ticket, because he didn’t
know how long he was going to be there. He returned to his home state of New Hampshire on March
7. “It feels astonishingly good to be home,” he wrote on his blog the next day. “I had a smile on my
face for the entire 15 minutes it took to pump up the flat tires on my car with a bike pump, for every
pothole I’ve hit (there are a ton on New Hampshire roads right now), for the feel of the sheets on my
own bed, finally having a place to leave my skis without setting up a tuning bench, and feeling the
shimmy of my 1995 Honda Accord Wagon when I touch the breaks [sic]. It feels amazing to be home.
I didn’t quite realize how ready I was to get out of Dodge until I woke up this morning. “
OK. But could he do it off the lip of Corbet’s?
When competing in a recent Intermountain Division Mogul Champs event, 2009
aerials world champion Ryan St. Onge made everyone else’s jumps look, well, kinda
pathetic. In the first run, he pulled off a back full and front double full. Check it out.
And More from Miss Ross…
Add filmmaker to Laurenne Ross’ long list of talents and interests. She captured this
helicopter flight to the top of the Are downhill track. You can also read her blog at
