WOMEN Jessie Diggins
U.S. JUNIOR NORDIC SKIER OF THE YEAR
Perhaps the most impressive part of the 2010-11 season for Diggins was the enormous step forward she made from last year. She
went from being a solid junior skier with top- 30 results at Junior World
Championships to finishing in the top 30 at the World Championships
in Oslo as one of the youngest competitors in the event. In her final
season as a junior skier, she put up strong seventh and 12th place
finishes at the Junior World Championships in Estonia before moving over to the big show in Oslo. There, she finished 25th and 28th in
the skate sprint and the 15K pursuit, and anchored the women’s relay
team to a respectable ninth place.
