Academic Strengths and Overview: CVA delivers specially designed
academic programs that enable students from seventh grade to post-grad-
uate to obtain a traditional college-preparatory education while pursuing
their athletic goals. This time-tested integration of academics, athletics,
and community provides the framework for students to become confident
and independent thinkers, advocates for their learning, and responsible
citizens while positioning them for outstanding college placement. Our
goal is to help each student create a strong high school résumé so when
they graduate they have many post-secondary choices. Also, our creative
and extensive use of technology plus our small class size provides out-
standing support of students who travel. Many members of our teaching
staff have been with us for more than 10 years, so they have the breadth
and depth of experience to understand the student/athlete.

Academic Strengths and Overview: Rigorous college preparatory
curriculum, ESL program, small class sizes, and technology-supported
curriculum. GMVS is a unique and successful combination of a top-tier ski
racing academy and a very well regarded college preparatory program.
GMVS has extremely successful college placement and feeds several
national ski teams. The modern Waitsfield, Vt., campus is minutes away
from Sugarbush Resort and several nordic training facilities. The GMVS
house in Koessen, Austria, is home base for students while training and
racing in Europe.
