Ski Racing’s own Claire Abbe
recently helped Olympian, TV
host and U.S. Ski Hall of Famer
Trace Worthington and his team
win the winter series of co-ed
hockey in Park City. Then she
traveled to Sun Valley to compete
in the Janss Cup fundraiser
as part of Team 10th Mountain
Division (the theme for the
weekend was “vintage”). Looks
like somebody needs to get back
to work.
Hiya!
U.S. Ski Team slalom specialist and Taekwondo master Hailey
Duke bashes gates by day and breaks boards by night. She took her
aggression out on this piece of lumber during U.S. Nationals.
Brad Pitt, David Beckham...
Marcel Hirscher?
In an interview with Benno Zelsacher in Austria’s Standard,
Ski Racing’s International Alpine Skier of the Year, Marcel
Hirscher, revealed what he thinks of his new star status. “Where
does the star start and stop?” Hirscher asks. Stars, he says, are
people like “Brad Pitt, Jolie to David Beckham, Rihanna. I would
not trade places with their lives. ... The star is also a nurse,
everyday people.” Hirscher also said part of his plan for the
future could include more super G, because, he says, “for the
World Championship in Schladming they will not let me go just
because I’m a nice guy.”
